Metcalf Architecture + Design is a full-service Architecture and Interior Design firm located a quarter mile from Litchfield town center. We service Litchfield and Fairfield Counties, Farmington Valley, West Hartford, Hudson Valley and New York City.
Through listening and collaboration with our clients, we combine quality and creative design to provide our clients with spaces that are both beautiful and livable. “I use my experience as an architect and interior designer to understand each client, the context of their project, their budget and other specific needs to create special moments in their space.”
While our primary focus is creating Beautiful Net Zero Homes, we strive to exceed current energy standards with all of our projects. We love using traditional building methods with the newest and best technology. Our projects produce well detailed homes that are clean, quiet and efficient.

Licensed Architect in Connecticut, New York & Pennsylvania
Julia graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelors of Architecture degree, after studying in London and Italy. She worked in New York City prior to starting Julia Metcalf Architecture and Interior Design, LLC in 2011. Julia is a licensed architect in Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania. She works on projects as small as small additions to complete renovations of 20,000 square foot offices and private residences.
